Sanriku Coast has a picturesque line of coastline surrounded by deep blue-green waterand is listed as one of Japan's Top 100 destinations. It was damaged by the 2011 Tsunami and rails and roads to the area have been greatly reduced. And the roads and tourist facilities in this area have been restored and it's now accessible again.
